This is a new award winning creation by the Matthews family at the Toscana Olive grove and we think it's fabulous! We could quite easily spend an afternoon with some fabulous cheese, good wine, freshly baked bread and their lovely vinegar and oils for dipping. This is the result of a collaboration with Peter Nicholson the Chef and the Toscana team. The intense flavour is as perfect complement to fish, chicken, salads and of course some freshly baked crusty bread!
A good splash of quality vinegar can be used to enhance soups, risottos, roast vegetables and a wide range of dishes. A must-have pantry item for the serious home chef! This vinegar was awarded in the 2014 Royal Hobart Fine Food Show.
The Toscana Olive grove is one of the oldest groves in Australia with the trees originally planted in 1943. We visited the grove recently to learn more about the grove and their production approach and were impressed by the dedication and vast horticultural experience the family has brought to bear to turn Toscana into one of the best premium organic extra virgin oil producers in Australia today.
