An award winning and very delicate Ginger Wine unlike many of the usual honey dominated offerings often found. Initially a subtle taste of a dessert white wine quickly followed by ginger root and whisky notes giving a slight spicey finish to the drink. Not too strong nor sweet and very easy to drink. A lovely warming drink. The distinctive smooth ginger flavour is perfectly balanced by a pleasingly clean, dry finish.
Meet the Maker
Handmade by a small and dedicated team at the Lyme Bay Winery. Nigel Howard, the founder, retired from his banking career to pursue a long held dream to return to his country roots and resurrect traditional recipes with a modern twist. You don't find operations like this very often these days. They forage local forests for fruit and, when nature doesn't quite provide, they grow their own fruit, fermenting, blending and bottling on site. We have developed a direct relationship with the winery and can now bring a range of their fantastic products for Australia to enjoy!
Perfect neat on ice. Equally perfect as the base for most whisky cocktails.
