It's Gin O'Clock! The resurgence of Gin is absolutely fine with us! Luckily not with the same outcome as it did in 1751 when the sudden popularity of gin led to a wave of extreme drunkenness that led to the infamous 'Beer Street and Gin Lane' prints that followed.
Nowadays our Gin is unrecognisable when compared to the early 'bath tub' 'gin' and the range of botanicals and flavours is quite remarkable. Here you can sample a healthy amount of some of the best around, from a cracking citrus full Australian boutique Gin to small batch copper pot productions even the Queen herself is partial too!
So what delicious drams have we thoughtfully brought together?
- Moore's Vintage Dry Gin: A real gem of an Australian Gin. Seven botanicals, including Australian natives go into making this aromatic gin, each distilled separately using the vapour infusion method. The more common cardamom is replaced with cinnamon myrtle and Illawarra plum.
- Rose Petal Gin: a delightful and floral gin, sweeter than our house Gin. Beautiful with a great tonic and a chunk of orange or lime.
- Organic Copperwave Gin: distilled in the traditional London Gin method, but with one major exception. To ensure the absolute balance of the 11+ botanicals, the botanicals are distilled separately in flavour groups, then the various components are blended as would a fine wine. A standout Australian Gin that shows how good Aussie Gins have become.
- Sloe Gin: This was recently judged to be the best artisan Sloe Gin around by a European competition. Based on a recipe dating back to 1842 to berries of the Blackthorn, or sloes, are macerated for twelve months to produce this rich and wonderful Sloe Gin.
Each tasting pack is packaged in its own box with tasting notes, including a personalised message on the first bottle if requested. Approximately 13 servings is included within this pack. Please note, packaging may differ slightly from image (e.g. shade of ribbon etc.).
