What are Artisan liquids!?

In a world where the word is often thrown around without much thought to us its quite simply this:

Its the spirit of the handcrafted, the painstakingly procured, the small-batch. Made by those who have dedicated their lives to their craft, and who apply it with perfection and obsession. It's not impersonal assembly line production, it's made by a real person who has poured themselves into what they do. That's what we offer - from the liquids themselves to our hand labelled and Italian bottles. Every bottle is special, every bottle is unique.

It's not for everybody, and it really is quite limited!

How do I know how big each bottle is?

As a rough guide, 40 - 50mL bottles are miniatures, 100mL are small, about twice the size of a miniature. 200 - 250mL are approximately the size of your average Olive Oil bottle. 500mL to 700mL are your typical spirit and wine bottle sizes.

How is it packed and wrapped?

All our bottles and tasting sets, except where part of a gift box set, come with our eco-friendly wrap. This has a layer of tissue paper and then a craft wrap on top, tied with natural raffia. This makes a rustic and elegant gift wrap that is entirely recyclable or compostable and is included free of charge.

Do you have any bricks and mortar stores?

Not yet, but we are planning our first in Melbourne very soon so please watch this space! Soon you'll be able to join us for a real taste experience in our stores. If you're interested in getting involved, please drop us line, we're always looking for like-minded people!

What is the Happiness Guarantee?

Simply put. If something goes wrong, we'll make sure we put it right. If you order a product and change your mind, we'll sort it for you (as long as you haven't drunk it all and then you change your mind!). If you've opened it, and it just isn't for you, we'll even offer you a partial in-store credit so you can try something else. We want you to enjoy our products, it's as simple as that. 

What's not included in the Happiness Guarantee? Not much! There are a few, common sense limitations of course, so please check our terms and conditions for more information.

If you want to return an item, please check our T&Cs (usually if unopened, its okay!) and drop us a note at: speaktous@amfora.com.au. Our guarantee applies to purchases made directly with Amfora. Goods purchased via 3rd parties are subject to their terms and conditions.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Australia (excluding restricted areas, such as dry zones) and internationally. For more information on our shipping service and conditions please review our shipping page.

Can you ship abroad?

Yes we can, although we are unable to export wine and brandy products at present due to Australian regulations and we cannot ship orders greater than $2000 AUD in value. Prices shown are based upon the current exchange rate rather than your bank or credit card providers applied rate and will be billed in $AUD. Please note, we cannot advise on international customs and duties charges that may be applicable so please ensure you are aware of any obligations and applicable taxes and duties. Having said that, we'll do our very best to help you wherever we can.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on where you are of course, and your chosen shipping option but normally 2 - 5 business days for most metro locations and around 10 business days for WA and more rural locations.

Express shipping is available which can provide quick one-day shipping within the Express network - but always allow us 1 business day to prepare your order - good things take time!  

Please note, we're reliant on our shipping partners, and while 98% are generally received within the timescales provided, sometimes it can take a few days more, especially during peak periods. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the date you will receive your order by, so we recommend leaving a little extra time where possible for those special occasions!

Can I track my delivery?

Absolutely! We ship using multiple carriers depending on location. You will have received a fulfilment confirmation email when your order ships which will contain either your tracking number and a link to the real-time status (for Australia Post and Mailman / Fastway), or alternatively a separate email from our delivery partner, Sendle plus a confirmation of your shipment with your Sendle reference code.

If shipped via Sendle, you'll receive automatic email updates on your parcel's progress. If your a tracking junkie, you can also sign up with Sendle here: https://www.sendle.com/users/sign_up. Once you've done that, you'll have access to a dashboard that shows the live status of your parcel delivery. 


My parcel hasn't arrived when I hoped, what can I do?

Sorry to hear that! During peak periods it can take a little longer, but if you need an update on the whereabouts of your parcel the quickest route is to check your parcel's delivery status via the tracking page. Just follow the link in your fulfilment email or refer to your Sendle email. Want to speak to a human? No problem - give us a call and we'll see what we can do!

We'd advise you to check your tracking information as the delivery partner may have attempted delivery and be waiting for you to collect.

Are we Secure?

Our site is fully PCI compliant, in fact we're PCI Level 1 compliant which is the same level of security used by major global banks so you can be sure your details are safe and sound with us.

Where do your products come from?

Our products are predominantly sourced from Australia, Europe and in the future, the United States. We are always looking for fantastic new products here in Australia and we always work directly with small-scale artisan producers, not large corporate industrial operations. You can be sure our products are made with care and real passion, are really hand made using natural ingredients and sustainable production approaches by incredibly dedicated, often obsessed, distillers and producers! The countries we source from all have rigorous standards that apply to all food production that meet or exceed Australian standards.

What about the quality and safety of your products?

Our products are all produced in Australia and Europe by established, small producers exceeding the highly stringent standards required in Europe and within Australia. The majority of our producers have achieved incredible levels of recognition by globally recognised awards for the quality and unique nature of their products. We go to extraordinary lengths to ensure our products reach you exactly the way our producers intended. You can be confident you are investing in a product like no other, made to the very highest standards. We do not supply low-quality bulk spirits dressed as something they are not and we never will. All our products are GMO free, many organic, produced using low-intensity methods. 

Our bottles are all sanitised/sterilised prior to gravity filling ensuring no contamination and the utmost quality. We top our glass demijohns with inert Argon to ensure even oxygen doesn't deteriorate the quality and flavour over time. We take extra care.

What about the environment?

We care about our environmental impact and we try to minimise waste where ever we can. From the sustainably sourced wood in our presentation boxes, our eco-friendly packaging and even the efforts many of our producers take in their production processes we really care and we think it shows in how we do things. In fact, about 90% of the waste we generate is recycled and we use green power to power our HQ too!
